Sam Smith is a great choice.
Appeals to a huge international audience.
Male equivalent to Adele in terms of voice range
Looking forward to the release

"a Black Bond would be just to appease the PC brigade"
It wouldnt have to be that way. Skyfall put the nail in the coffin of a Black man having the role anyway as up until then you could have got away with saying "James Bond" is an Alias used over the years by many different Spies but Skyfall made sure Bond would always be Male and White as they gave him a whole backstory...

I thought Skyfall went on a bit. Was good though. Publicity around it was a different level.

QOS was infinitely better than Skyfall. Skyfall was like some odd comic book film. QOS was a classic spy thriller. I like Bond when it's at it's spying roots with glamour so I understand I may not see eye to eye with people who like the more nonsense Bond films like Skyfall.

It wasn't just for the film, it was also the media campaign too.

Skyfall was brilliant, much better then QOS which i thought was the worst bond in years
Looking forward to Spectre and love Craig as Bond
Tom Hardy i think would smash it, while i love Elba a Black Bond would be just to appease the PC brigade rather then watching it and thinking it was believable

Is that true...£30 million to sip a beer? Fucking hell!

Heineken paid £30m to have Bond swigging a lager in Skyfall. In Spectre he will be back on the vodka martini courtesy of Belvedere who presumably will pay something similar.

It wouldn't make as much money, which is the goal. So follow the same structure, doesn't matter what genre.

Sky fall had some good touches and like the nods to the past .... But it wasn't much of a Bond film. Good to have Monetpenny, Q and a male M in traditional Whitehall surroundings so will see if Spectre will live up to the best films. The glamour for a change of Bond direction with next actor concerns me though.

Sam Smith being the singer is actually a bit dissapointing I think, too predictable.
They should of chosen someone like Paloma Faith, I think her style matches the bond style perfectly.

Most big films are like that now with product placement, it's a joke.
The most recent transformers was the worst I have ever seen for this, close up on the guys designer glasses for no reason what so ever, zooming in on all of the cars badge's, they turn a transformer into a beats pill (gash, by the way. You can get a lot more for your money on similar devices once you take their name off, pioneer and sony both better portable devices). They even had a victorias secret truck blow up... Just because!

Yeah. Skyfall was the worse Bond film ever. Absolute cock. Lets hope they get back to spying, shagging and killing.

Sam Smith? Jo Durie must be gutted to be overlooked
Bond's are enjoyable nonsense but have become more of a vehicle for product placement than anything else. Have they announced what beer he will be drinking & which watch, car & suit will be co-starring?

...And that's exactly what the millions of people who watch them want to see.Change the formula and most would be disappointed.
People like the familiarity. It's comfortable. You know exactly what you're buying.
